To me, the idea of returning to Spirit is a misnomer. I believe that we are always “in Spirit” as we are manifestations of the Spirit of what most would call God. If you really think about it, the word “God” is a generic term. When one uses the term God, which God are they talking about? I mention the God of the Christian Bible often in our modules, but most of the time I’m drawing from parallels from what I literally experience when being in Spirit–as we are all and every thing perceived to be physical IS manifest Spirit. My personal belief is that we are created in the image of the most advanced form of Universal Intelligence “God” and that through us, God–the “Parent” of ALL Spirits is replicating Itself.
However, it is possible to be disconnected from the source of creation in a way that leaves us in a state of limbo, grounded in the material world–cut off from the realm of Spirit, or at times questioning if there is something more beyond the world we see with our physical eyes–a spiritual realm we come from and return to when we pass on.
Is there really such a thing as spiritual awakening and learning how to “Walk in the Spirit” in this earthly life?
Referencing the Christian Bible talks about it in this way…
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” – Galatians 5:25 – NKJV
But what does it mean to live and walk in the Spirit, and what is the benefit of doing so? Can you see the disconnect in the above statement if one is taught or led to believe that they are or once were cut off from God–or “the Spirit of Life”?
Drawing from scripture once again the teaching and reason for walking in the Spirit is to “produce a harvest”–an abundance of beneficial things that point to the increase of life that bear fruit, keeps us spiritually healthy, allows us to give of ourselves to help those in need, and heals our souls and the souls of our loved ones.
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” – James 3:17 – NKJV
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23 – NKJV
I think any discerning human being could agree that the aforementioned qualities could be viewed as fruits of the Spirit, and how humanity could benefit greatly by cultivating and harvesting more to experience these “fruits” in our daily lives. And there are many more references found in the spiritual writings of other diverse cultures throughout mankind’s history.
Walking in the Spirit could be viewed as striving for and practicing to attain these spiritual qualities, though it seems at times they don’t appear much in the world around us–which begs the question.
Is the world that we know, that which we currently call our reality the same as the realm and reign of Spirit, which the Christian Bible refers to as the Kingdom of Heaven?
What’s more; is there more to Spirit than some kind of generic essence, in how some spiritualists attempt to give identity to a transparent universe? I talk a lot about Infinite Intelligence in previous modules, but is there more to this thinking stuff that permeates the entire cosmos? Does “IT” have an identity, does it have a name, has “IT” revealed itself to others? Is there truth in Spirit, or more precisely, is there such a thing as a “Spirit of truth”, and is the Spirit of truth an actual sentient being?
Once again I draw from the Christian Bible where Yeshua (Jesus) claims very specifically, to be considered by any discerning human being…
“But when the Helper (the Holy Spirit) comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.” – John 15:26 NKJV
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (speaking to those who have received–”believe” His testimony and witness). – John 14:17 NKJV
I should probably mention, that in the Aramaic language the term used for “Father” is more closely interpreted as “Parent”. I don’t believe that Yeshua assigned gender to the Universal Mind of God, but was rather speaking in a transcendent voice. I have found that all of Yeshua’s teachings can be viewed from a transcendent perspective and voice, and that the truths he spoke translate across many cultures when pertaining to Spirit and Universal Consciousness.
Yeshua is saying that we were with Him in the beginning of all time when our souls, and true spiritual identities (not the identities we inherit from the world) were created. The Bible claims that Yeshua is the Living Word…
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” – John 1:1-5 NKJV
According to these spiritual writings and witness Yeshua was the first born of God’s creation, and that God the Parent created all things–the entire cosmos and everything in it through the consciousness of Yeshua of Nazareth (the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ, Son of God, born of the Spirit of God).
You will also notice when Yeshua says in John 15:7:
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
When the words Yeshua spoke abide in us, we are one with the words He taught and become one with Him. Do you see the transcendent connection here of walking in the Spirit of truth? Can you also see here, all that is required is the power of one’s belief in His “words”–teaching?
Yeshua also tells us plainly in John 6:63-64 that His words are literally “Spirit”…
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.”
We already are, and were always one with Him in the Spirit of life. This is why Yeshua taught He is the Vine and we are the branches. But most of us have forgotten, and perhaps were never taught this, especially when our understanding of Spirit is filtered through the confined spiritual views of religion–that for the most part reflect not the true teachings of Yeshua or Buddha, etc., but are more often filtered down into a cookie cutter–reinvented belief system to keep certain groups of men and women in control of the “commodity” of spirituality, and thus the direction of our lives and society as a whole. Have mercy! 😉
My personal belief is there is a lot more to the realm of Spirit and the heavenlies than what the world and traditions of men (philosophies of men) can possibly know, teach, and understand. It is one of the main reasons I study the Christian Bible, but ultimately go within to commune with the Spirit of life–God’s literal Spirit for myself.
I profess to you that I do believe God–the Universal Conscious Intelligence of the cosmos is alive and aware, our intelligence is proof of it. God is an actual Spirit person, and Yeshua is the first born Son of the Living God, and He is the Living Word (the Logos–the discourse of Infinite Intelligence He reminded us of), and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life (the agency of divine creative power we all share), the Spirit of truth received from–eternally emanating from God the Parent our great comforter, helper, and spiritual counselor talked about in the Christian Bible–revealing the mysteries of the cosmos, creation, the potential destinies of men and women to come for those who will open their hearts and minds to hear and understand by investigating–”Walking in the Spirit” for themselves.
The Apostle Paul defines faith in the Bible in this way, meaning one cannot see the substance and the evidence of Spirit with our physical eyes–which requires true faith…
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
When one truly walks moment-by-moment in the Spirit, faith becomes a secondary thought if ever necessary.
In my experience, I have found there does exist significant distinctions between what we call the world of men and tradition, and that which is referred to as the Kingdom of Heaven and what it means to “walk in the Spirit”. We are Spirit. I have personally received, am filled with and experience the “Holy Spirit”–the Spirit of God that permeates and sustains the Living Cosmos–His creation! I have personally met, seen His person, heard the voice of Yeshua, and bear witness to the first born Son of Man–our big brother.
Yet, even if we choose not to practice religion, it is still very possible to walk in the Spirit and bear the fruits of the Spirit as a spiritual practice. Actually, I prefer not practicing religion as I am Spirit, and highly recommend you go within to discover this for your self.
If you are at all at a point in your life where you are “seeking” a greater spiritual awareness, connection, and understanding to God–the Parent of ALL spirits, heavenly lights and creation, please consider meditating on the scriptural references above as you meditate, and ask the Spirit of truth to reveal to you the Living truth. You can also dig much deeper in the infinite mysteries of the Christian Bible that never ceases to amaze me at the depth of knowledge and understanding it contains–when one reads it in a transcendent voice–their heart and not their head so much. I recommend the New King James Version of the Christian Bible if you decide to do so.
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” – Luke 11:9-10 NKJV
Those were Yeshua’s words, and He said it’s available to everyone all the time!
The ParallaxMind Solfeggio 852 Hz Return To Spirit soundtrack is all about seeking a greater connection and relationship with Spirit–true Spirit. Did you know the Solfeggio frequencies were originally used in ancient, Christian Gregorian chant music? The Solfeggio frequency will assist you in meditating on the perceived qualities and fruits of the Spirit (when reflected with this content). The Crystal Bowls accompaniment was composed and performed while in a very deep state of meditation, contemplative prayer, scriptural study, revelations of the Holy Spirit, and I hope it translates well for your spiritual practice–wherever you are currently at in your spiritual walk. However, you can also use it in any way you see fit, general practices of meditation, personal reflection, contemplation, etc. – by Lewi Glenis – Creative Director
