Intention is an agent’s specific purpose in performing an action or series of actions, the end or goal that is aimed at. Outcomes that are not anticipated and not foreseen are known as unintended consequences.

Dr. Wayne Dyer talks a lot about the power of intention in his book; The Power of Intention: Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way.
Here’s an excerpt from the opening chapter:
“During the past several years, I’ve been so strongly attracted to studying intention that I’ve read hundreds of books by psychological, sociological, and spiritual writers; ancient and moderns scholars; and academic researchers. My research reveals a fairly common definition of intention as a strong purpose or aim, accompanied by a determination to produce a desired result. People driven by intention are described as having a strong will that won’t permit anything to interfere with achieving their inner desire. I imagine a sort of pit-bull kind of resolve or determination. If you’re one of those people with a never-give-up attitude combined with an internal picture that propels you toward fulfilling your dreams, you fit this description of someone with intention. You are, most likely, a super-achiever and probably proud of your ability to recognize and take advantage of opportunities that arise.”
There’s a great deal covered about the power of intention in his book, and I recommend it as high priority reading.
In my view, we can do nothing without intention. I don’t believe intention is some kind of ancillary thing we can add to our outlook on achieving our dreams and goals, as if intention is not deeply connected to our will power and ability to focus with conscious intention. Once we choose and fix our minds on a goal, it requires the intention of purpose and follow through to accomplish it.
Think of a hunter who is responsible for feeding his kin. If he doesn’t go out with the intention of harvesting that night’s dinner, the tribe simply won’t eat.
Without intention, we can do very little. However, it is the focus by which we bring our intentions into view and create a broader perspective of our visions, that determine whether or not we will achieve larger dreams and goals through the power of intention. Intention allows us to layout the groundwork for combining a plethora of goals and ideas, to be accomplished one step at a time in a consistent, focused way–through intention that allows us to see a positive end to our goals.
As a matter of fact, the overall premise instilled in all of your ParallaxMind modules, is by using intention to accomplish a certain aim. I use the power of intention to create every single aspect of your experience here at PMMM. Without applying the power of my intention, none of it would be possible.
You can use the power of your intention, to author positive affirmations for yourself, and encode them to your PMGMS soundtracks to accomplish a large range of emotional, mental, and spiritual goals. And of course, you can use your intention throughout your day, and in any circumstance to aspire to and achieve a certain result.
Intention allows us to use our conscious awareness, to make moment by moment decisions to define our actions in just about every situation. Of course there are times when you must act from the hip in situations when you have to think fast, and don’t necessarily have the luxury of thinking things through.
But for the most part, we can preconceive, premeditate, and visualize the unfolding of our day with the power of intention, to co-create a world of our own choosing.
You can literally use your intention, to sit down with your PMGMS soundtracks for example, and visualize exactly how you would like your day to unfold.
Then, you can use your ParallaxMind™ Power Of Intention module throughout your whole day, to act on the visualizations you used to preconceive the events and unfolding of your day.
Here Are 7 Easy Visualization Steps To Help You Focus Your Intentions
For Accomplishing What You Really Want Each Day:
1. Find a quiet place where you can relax and go within. You can use your PMGMS soundtracks for this exercise, or any of your ParallaxMind modules you feel is compatible with what you want to accomplish for that day. A good one that comes to mind for increasing your sensitivity and intuition during visualization is the PMSHH 741Hz Awaken Intuition module. You can also do this exercise without any soundtracks, sitting quietly with your eyes closed, and practicing the visualization for 5-15 minutes.
2. Make yourself comfortable. Wear loose-fitting clothes. Find a seat that’s comfortable enough for the time you plan to visualize.
3. Close your eyes. Relax. Take a few deep, relaxing breaths. Practice with the breathing techniques found in the PMGMS Meditation Posture And Sitting Videos. As you breathe in, take in air as life force energy and as you breathe out, imagine that you’re letting go of every thought that crosses your mind like clouds passing in the sky.
4. Just focus on your breathing for a few minutes. Follow your breath and let every dualistic thought go. Then, focus your mind on the goals, and intentions you want to receive, define, and use for your day.
5. As you notice the appearance of distracting thoughts, simply release them as you exhale, focusing only on the goals you want to set forth and accomplish for your day. Don’t give any attention to any other thoughts, or obligatory things you may feel you have to do, and give your goals and thoughts of intention all of your focusing energy in a relaxed way–simply allowing without self-judgement.
6. Once your mind is free, focus on a result you sincerely want to create for your day. Concentrate on nothing else. Free your mind of every other obligatory thought. Especially if it isn’t something you have defined for yourself. Your goal during this process is to stay relaxed and to envision yourself already in possession of your goal without distractions, and the intentional steps you will act on necessary to achieve it for that day, but only for that day as you can do this visualization exercise to define your intentions, goals, and action taking for each day you practice the technique.
7. Once you’ve visualized and imagined your goal in detail, the action steps you can take to achieve it for your day, and envisioned the presence–existence of it in your life, simply release it by opening your eyes, jotting down whatever ideas and action steps come to you, and acting on them by your intention to move closer to your goal one step and one day at a time.
Have your preferred outcomes, but don’t be attached to any one particular outcome. Visualize them. Accept them as yours. Be open to receive ideas and action steps in various forms. Prioritize them while relying on efficiency to save time, money, and resources. Finally, release your creative ideas expressively by acting on them, and they will manifest in time.
What you’re actually doing through this process is engaging your unconscious mind, and spiritual flow of Infinite Intelligence to come to your assistance. The more you visualize, the easier it becomes to define your goals and intentions for any particular day you choose to move towards attaining them. Allow your soul, through your intuition and imagination to guide you towards whatever you want to manifest in your life, by trusting in and listening to the still inner voice of the Divine Heart and Mind.
You can also release your intentions as prayers to the Universal Mind for support in your co-creation. And by all means, listen to what the Mind of God–Infinite Intelligence may be telling you. If you receive thoughts, ideas, and action plans that point the way to life and increase, then act on them.
Of course there will be unforeseen circumstances out of your control, hence the term co-create. But for the most part, your day can go according to plan, by defining and leveraging the power of your intentions, focusing on them, and making conscious moment-by-moment decisions to move you forward from point A to Z.
Living a purposed filled life, powered by your own ability to use intention, is an excellent approach to co-creating the life you want WITH God, and living more of the dreams and goals you aspire to live moved by your heart and passions.
It is our intention, the intents of our heart that determine how we use and apply our will power, to forge out for ourselves new frontiers of personal life experience that lead to the increase of life for ourselves, our families, and the greater collective as a whole.
